OUTDOOR: Finished fifth in the 200 meters in a season-best 24.60 and sixth in the 100 meters (:12.07) at the Big West Championship...ran a season-best 11.97 in the 100 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays...ran a wind-aided 11.90 at the Cal Poly 5-Way Meet.
INDOOR: Qualified for both the 60 and 200 meters at the MPSF Championship ran :7.68 to finish 10th in the 60m prelims and did not reach the event final...finished 10th in the prelims of the 200 meters (:25.05)...ran a season-best :7.65 twice during the indoor season to rank sixth on the all-time CSUN Indoor chart...ranks 10th in the 200 after running a season-best :24.87 at the Husky Classic.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Gardena High School...lettered four times... a state qualifier in both 2002 and 2003 and was a state finalist in 2003...the Panthers track & field team won Marine League championships in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Linda and Robert Steen...has two older brothers, Robert and Kenneth...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, Marion Jones, actors Nicholas Cage and Jada Pinkett-Smith and the movie "Men in Black"...prays as a pre-meet ritual.
