2008 (SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Ran the 800 meters during the outdoor season at the Steve Scott Invitational at UC Irvine where she finished 26th in a time of 2:31.73.
INDOOR: Did not compete.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed for Northridge cross country team in the Fall of 2008 where she placed 72nd at the Big West
Cross Country Championship...finished 39th at the Bakersfield Quad Meet in a 5k time of 21:46.5
2007 (FRESHMAN): Did not compete in either the indoor or outdoor seasons.
CROSS COUNTRY:Â A member of the Northridge cross country team in both the fall of 2006 and 2007 ... finished a 2006 season-best 27th in a time of 21:53 at the UNLV Invitational ... finished 73rd in a time of 29:13.6 at the 2007 BigWest Cross Country Championship.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2004 graduate of Faith Baptist High School...earned three letters in basketball...was a starter at forward all four years for the Contenders...played for coaches Dean Lobdell and Sally Leon...graduated with a 3.76 grade point average.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Rosa and Leon Ching...has two brothers, Alan and Chris...both parents attended Toledo and Alan attended UC Irvine...favorites include the Miami Heat and former NBA star Michael Jordan...says the best thing about being an athlete is "being part of a team"...says the one thing that always makes her smile is "my family".
