OUTDOOR: Posted a career-best 14-3 1/4 in the pole vault at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational...finished in a tie for 12th at the meet...also vaulted 13-7 1/4 at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational at UCLA.

INDOOR: Did not compete.

2010 (R-SOPHOMORE)
OUTDOOR: Cleared a season-best height of 14-1 3/4 to tie for 10th at the Steve Scott Invitational (May 2)...also vaulted 14-1 1/4 at both the Northridge Invitational (May 13) and the USC Trojan Invitational (Mar. 20).

INDOOR: Redshirted the indoor season for the Matadors.

PRIOR TO CSUN: Competed in the pole vault and ran the 400 meters for two seasons at Antelope Valley College...finished second in the Foothill Conference and was eighth in the SoCal Prelims...earned his associate of arts degree in arts and sciences.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Lancaster High School...competed in track, cross country and wrestling...entered in the pole vault and 400 meters for the Eagles track & field team...wrestled at the 145-150 weight class in 2005...graduated with a 3.3 grade
point average.

PERSONAL: Son of Lily and Vic Thomas...major is creative writing...has one older brother, Jason...favorites include the Los Angeles Lakers, actors Brad Pitt, current TV and the movies "Batman" and "Fight Club"...says the best thing about being an athlete is the "ability to measure yourself"...says he couldn't imagine going a week without milk.
