OUTDOOR: Finished eighth in the high jump at the Big West Championship (6-4 3/4)...posted a season-best 5480 points in the decathlon at the Northridge Invitational...had season-bests in the high jump (6-6), long jump (20-1), 100m (:11.85) and 110m hurdles (16.00) during the CSUN meet...threw a season-best 149-4 in the javelin to finish 16th at the Cal-Nevada Championships.

INDOOR: Competed in five of the seven events in the heptathlon at the MPSF Championship but did not finish the competition...scored a season-best 4128 points at the UW Invitational.

2010 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season as a redshirt in the CSUN program.

2009 (FRESHMAN)
OUTDOOR: Finished 12th in the decathlon at the Big West Championship...scored a season-best 5776 points which included a meet-best 813 points in the high jump where he cleared a season-best 6-7...finished eighth in the high jump with a best of 6-6 1/4 during the Big West meet...had season- bests of :15.80 in the 110m hurdles, 20-8 in the long jump and 151-2 in the javelin during the outdoor season

INDOOR: Did not compete.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2008 graduate of South Grand Prairie High School...competed in track, basketball and football...named MVP of the Warriors track & field team in 2006, 2007 and 2008...the team was three-time district track championships from 2006-08 and also won the region and state titles in 2008...also won district basketball championships in 2007 and 2008...graduated with a 3.7 grade point average.

PERSONAL: Son of Donna and Pt Talkington...major is Business...has one brother, Christopher...was also recruited by Penn State, North Texas, Colorado State and Texas-San Antonio...favorites include the Dallas Cowboys, running back LaDanian Tomlinson, all horror movies and Lil Wayne...once met former Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith...would like to switch places for a day with Ralph Lauren.
